Staying Cybersafe

 Today in Wellbeing we learned about being Cybersafe.

Phishing - Phishing is when someone tries to get your information through websites and emails. They can convince you to click on ads or enter private information about yourself, account details. 

Cyberbullying - Cyberbullying is when someone might try to hurt your feelings. They might think:

*You don't know me.

*You can't see me

*It's just a joke!

Being online can make it easy for bullies for these reasons.

If you think you are being bullied, tell an adult that you trust and show them evidence.

Hacking - Hacking can be from (meaning to be) jokes, to very serious scenarios. The Russian found a way to hack into a very important person's personal Gmail. 

Real or Fake?

 Another tool I explored was "Which face is Real?".

You try to guess which face is real.

It was so hard and I only got it correct 2 times.

Do you know how to spot the difference?

Do you know how its fake?

Photoshop or wax figure maybe?

The Great Wave of Kanagawa

 In Cybersmart we explored a new tool called Google Experiment- Colouring book Digital.

Basically, you choose a painting or colouring to do then you can colour it.

I chose the The Great Wave of Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai, a famous Japanese painting of a huge wave that resembles crashes into the oceans and tsunamis.

I learnt that it was called The Great Wave of Kanagawa.

I really like this painting and I found it tricky to recall the colours of each detail.

I found it easy to choose a painting.

Pop Art Andy Warhol #2

 Instead of using Lunapic this I used Artnet. 

Instead of doing separate filters it does it for you.

You can choose Andy Warhol Original, Andy Warhol Variation, Andy Warhol Variation #2, the one I used.

Next time I want to do it with paint instead of digitally.

Pop Art-Andy Warhol

 For Cybersmart/ art we did Pop Art. A man called Andy Warhol invented this, a new type of abstract and mordern art.
I found it hard to get all of the photos to have an equal size.
I found it easy to upload my photos.
If you want to do Pop art too you can do it using google drawings and Lunapic.

The second one is an effect called Warhol x9 in Lunapic. Its similar to the Artnet Pop art.

Free Holiday things to do in Gisborne

In cybersmart, we have used a lot of websites for our media. 

This time, we tried to not use google slides and try something else.

I chose google sites. I've used google site for Call Catalina Company, where I make screencastify tutorials.

I found it tricky to think of what tool to use.

Summer Learning Journey

Last summer I signed up for the summer blogging program.
We had tasks set for each week, and I came 2nd Place!
I found it hard to keep up with the work.
I enjoyed the summer learning programme and want to do it again next year.
I also won a Endeavour Boombox.

Blinging Our Blogs

Today in Cybersmart we customised our blog. We customised our backgrounds to our art and we designed the header.
My digital learning object shows that I can upload images and custom my blog.
I found it easy to design the header because it was on google drawings and I use it a lot.
I found it hard to choose which art to use for my background.

Kawa Of Care

Today we had Cybersmart and we made a kawa of care to remind everyone to be at the right place at the right time.
Deciding what background to use was tricky for me because there were so many to choose from.
It was easy to think of things for the kawa of care because I had a lot of knowledge from last year.

Summer Blogging: Bookworm

Today in summer blogging we are re-creating the book cover of our favourite book.
This book- The Evolution Of Calpurnia Tate by Jacqueline Kelly, is a book that is set in 1899 and she and grandfather study and analyze nature.

Phishing and Scams

We made a Gif from google slides at Cybersmart.
It was tricky to take a screenshot because it was from a video.
It was fun to decorate the slides.

Room one and eight movie clip project

Last week Room One and Eight got together and Room Eight showed us how to use an app called Explain Everything.
I enjoyed using Explain Everything because everything was so easy to access. I also enjoyed working with my little sister.
I disliked nothing.

Smart Media

Today at Cybersmart we were learning to know how to verify online information and analyse the construction of digital media.
I found it easy to take a picture of the book because I didn't need to take off the background.
I found it hard to think of what I was going to do.
Next time I would make a more realistic bit of magic.

What is Media?

Today in Cybersmart we learned what media is.
Media is information, and it is all around us!
I found it hard to finish on time.
I found it easy to take a picture.
Next time I would take the background of the chromebook.

Seeking Help

In Cybersmart today, we learnt how to be an upstander, someone does something about it.
I found it challenging to fit everything in the google drawing.

Rugby World Cup Mash-up

In Cybersmart we made a flag representing a country that was going to the Rugby world cup.
I enjoyed finding Japanese things because I love Japan. I love Japan because of its food.
I found it really hard because we could only use one image off the Internet and we had to draw a different thing on our selves.
Also, we were working buddies and we only allowed to communicate by commenting. It got quite chaotic!
Next time I would try to group the images properly.

Math Quiz

During Cybersmart, we made a math quiz.

I really enjoyed this because I needed to work on my 6, 7, and 8 times tables.

I found hard to find a free GIF.

I learned how to link images to other slides in the presentation.

Removing Backgrounds

In Room 1 for Cybersmart, we are learning to remove backgrounds. My favourite part was playing around with the shapes. Replacing my feet was what I found challenging. It was because they got cropped when I was taking the background away. On slide 3 click on the image that says remove BG. It will take you to the link of where it removes the background.

Today I have completed Google Docs Ninja Challenge.There is white, green, red and black.

Digital Footprint

We were learning about our  Digital Footprint.
 I learnt shortcuts on chromebooks.
I found it easy to insert the links.
I found it hard to find the proper icons.
 I really enjoyed learning the shortcuts.
Next time I need to try and finish it more quickly.
