Maths in Nature

 We finished our class MTNA(Maths in Nature).

We learnt about maths in art and nature, like Fibonacci

and the Pythagora's Theorem.

We looked at numerous artists like Franz Marc, Pablo Picasso, and Kandinsky(the one I based my art on).

Kandinsky was an abstract artist who painted with transparent colours and shapes like circles and lines.

The Great Wave of Kanagawa

 In Cybersmart we explored a new tool called Google Experiment- Colouring book Digital.

Basically, you choose a painting or colouring to do then you can colour it.

I chose the The Great Wave of Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai, a famous Japanese painting of a huge wave that resembles crashes into the oceans and tsunamis.

I learnt that it was called The Great Wave of Kanagawa.

I really like this painting and I found it tricky to recall the colours of each detail.

I found it easy to choose a painting.

Wevideo 2020 Art

 For Cybersmart we did a wevideo.
I chose 3 pieces of art that I've done in 2020 and I put them on Wevideo with sound,background, a voice over, and end credits.

I found it hard to find my art.

I found it easy to use wevideo because I've used it lots.

My digital learning object shows that I can insert video on my blog.

Tracey Tawhiao Art

 For art we recycled newspaper and did Tracey Tawhiao (Tah-fi-yo) inspired art.
I found it hard to find words that meant something to me.
I found it easy to find a colour I wanted to paint.

Ruru Art

 For Matauranga Toi (art) we made Ruru or Morepork.
I found it hard to Find information on John Bevan Ford.
I found it easy to change the font.
My DLO shows I can use google drawings, insert and image, do a background, change the font, and colour text boxes.

Henri Matisse Art

In-Room 1 for art we have been doing Henri Matisse. Matisse using a kind of as art called still-life.

Still-life is like when you paint or draw an object with no life.

We had to use primary colours plus white or black to make the colours we wanted.

We had to blend in white to show light direction.

Watercolour Art

Lately, I've been getting into watercolour art.
When I was little, I didn't appreciate watercolours much, because I didn't know how.
But now, I really, really love using them. If you want to start using watercolours, here are some tips.

• Use paper meant for watercolour.
• If you don't wait for the paint to dry before you paint over it, it will bleed.
• Using newspaper uder your artwork prevents accidents.

Tom Fedro

In Room One we were learning about Tom Fedro. I liked blending the colours. Finding information was hard because there was not much info about Tom Fedro. Our success criteria was to...
* Use bold lines
*Use both sides of the paintbrush
*Use bright colours
*Use light direction

Tom was born in 1969, Chicago. He uses acrylic for his distinctive Picasso- like art. His paintings are bold and have thick, black lines and uses bright colours to blend, showing light direction.
