Ice Candles

Yesterday we made ice candles. You can make ice candles too.

All you need is:
Old candles that you don't need to use anymore.
Ice
Empty cardboard milk cartons
Oil
Tall candle

Firstly, we cut open the top of the milk cartons. Next we rubbed oil all over inside of it so it would be easy to get the candle out.
Secondly, we placed the tall candle in the middle of the milk carton. Around it we filled it up with ice.
Next we poured melted wax into our milk carton. Then we waited overnight for the wax to dry.
Lastly, we ripped the carton around the candle and the  melted ice poured out of the crevases and holes.

Tips
*Make sure you rub the oil all around the carton.
*Double check you have enough wax to make the candle.

I think your blog post about ice candles is awesome!
I liked the way you added instructions on how to make them instead of just blogging that you made ice candles and saying it was fun and all that. When I read your post, I learnt that you could actually make ice candles. They’re very creative and cool and I’m glad you blogged about it. To improve, you could add a paragraph at the end of the post explaining how your candles went.
Did you get it into groups to do it or did you do it on your own?
